Woman injured in hit-and-run crash in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman was injured in a hit-and-run crash while walking in Clarksville early Friday morning.

The crash happened around 5:45 a.m. on Ringgold Road near the post office.

Clarksville police reported a passing motorists stopped and found the woman in the middle of the roadway. Investigators determined the woman was hit by a vehicle that then left the scene.

The pedestrian was taken to Tennova hospital with unknown injuries.

The eastbound lane of Ringgold Road is closed and traffic is being diverted into the Post Office parking lot.

No additional information was immediately released.
