The Metro Nashville Police Department’s (MNPD) Hermitage Precinct said they responded to reports of a serious crash around 10:30 a.m. The woman who drove her car into the home was the one that made the initial call to police.

When they arrived in the neighborhood near the 1300 block of Quail Valley Road, officers said they found major damage to the home. After hitting the house, the car reportedly exploded.

“I heard a big explosion. I mean, it shook the whole condo. I’m like, ‘What?’ Dogs are barking — and then it happened again,” one neighbor told News 2. “Flames were all the way up to the window up there, and when I came outside, they were putting them out. It scared the heck out of me in the morning.”
