Rich Homie Quan’s Cause Of Death Revealed As Accidental Drug Overdose, Fentanyl & Codeine Found In Rapper’s System

Key details behind Rich Homie Quan’s untimely death have been revealed.

According to the Fulton County Medical Examiner, at the time of his death, Rich Homie Quan had a mix of several different drugs in his system. He died from the hazardous combination of fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine and promethazine. The “Type Of Way” rapper’s passing has been ruled an accident.

The report, first obtained by TMZ, noted he also had THC in his system but it was the other substances that caused his death. In addition, it’s outlined that Rich Homie Quan’s body showed no signs of trauma when examined.

As previously reported, rumors flew wild about Quan’s cause of death after news broke that on Sep. 5 his girlfriend found him unresponsive on the couch when she returned home from taking their child to school. While on the phone with 911 she reportedly stated she could not feel a heartbeat, could not feel him breathing, and he was foaming at the mouth.

Quan’s Celebration of Life Ceremony was held at World Changers Church International on Sep. 17.
