Portion of I-24 closed in Grundy County due to crash, vehicle fire

GRUNDY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A portion of Interstate 24 remains closed in Grundy County as crews respond to a crash and vehicle fire. 

According to the TDOT Smartway Map, the incidents were reported just before 5 a.m. at mile marker 132 on Wednesday, April 17.

Both the eastbound and westbound lanes of the interstate are closed. It remains unclear when the interstate is expected to reopen. 

Officials have not said if anyone was injured or how the crash occurred. No other information was immediately released.
