Met Gala guests, suit up!
The Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced that this year’s highly anticipated fashion event will embrace the theme “Tailored for You,” spotlighting suiting and menswear in celebration of its accompanying exhibit. This marks the first time in over two decades that the Met Gala will exclusively focus on menswear — with a special emphasis on Black style throughout history.
On top of previously announced gala hosts Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, and LeBron James (alongside Anna Wintour, who oversees the gala), the Met has revived its longstanding tradition of a host committee, featuring prominent figures across entertainment, sports, and fashion.
This year’s host committee includes Simone Biles and husband Jonathan Owens, Angel Reese, ShaCarri Richardson, Spike Lee, Regina King, Ayo Edebiri, Usher, Doechii, Janelle Monáe, #André3000, Tyla, Grace Wales Bonner, Dapper Dan, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, among others.
The 2025 Met Gala is set to take place this May.
