Megan Thee Stallion had a message for her critics after fellow rapper Tory Lanez was sentenced 10 years in prison for shooting her.

During her performance at the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco on Sunday (Aug. 13), Megan Thee Stallion took the time to address her naysayers less than a week after Tory Lanez was handed his lengthy prison sentence. After the concert took a brief intermission, rap star Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, told the crowd,

“Being a hot girl in general is just not f*ckin’ easy. I really appreciate y’all. So, today, I just wanna say, f*ck all my haters. None of that sh*t you was doing or saying broke me.”

The 28-year-old Houston rapper then showed love to her supporters for standing by her throughout the entire high-profile assault case. She added,

“None of that sh*t y’all was doing or saying to the hotties broke them. I want all the hotties to put they muthaf*ckin’ middle finger up, right now.”

As previously reported, 31-year-old Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, was recently sentenced to a decade behind bars for shooting Megan in her foot back in 2020 following an argument. In December, the court convicted Tory of three felonies — assault with a semi-automatic firearm, possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm, and negligent discharge of a firearm.

Prior to Tory’s conviction, chatters about the expected outcome of the case erupted on social media, with some users unsure which artist was actually innocent in the situation. A lot of the speculation surrounding the shooting pointed toward Megan’s former bestie Kelsey Harris as the (potential) trigger-puller. However, Tory’s legal team ultimately failed to convince the jury of the suspicions.
