On Oct. 21, a security guard doing surveillance in Centennial Park recognized Anderson. The guard told police they knew him from footage of the scooter thefts, reports said.

Anderson was apprehended by officers, who found he was in possession of a scooter that was stolen on Oct. 14. He was arrested by Metro officers and brought in for questioning.

Officials said Anderson “implicated himself” in multiple scooter thefts, and then requested an attorney.

He is being held in Metro jail on an $8,000 bond facing a felony theft charge.
