Kim Kardashian Says She Would Consider A Life Without Being A Reality TV Star In Order To Be A Full-Time Lawyer: ‘I Would Be Just As Happy Being An Attorney’
It looks like there may come a day when Kim Kardashian says goodbye to reality TV.
During a recent interview at the Time 100 Summit, Kim Kardashian spoke candidly about her future. When asked if she would ever consider a life without being on camera, the reality star gave an interesting response.
“Yeah, absolutely, I do feel like I have a –there’s a lot that’s always on TV and a lot that’s always out there. But I think my friends and my family know we really cherish a lot of our private times. I would be just as happy being an attorney full time and doing that.”
Kim Kardashian then expressed that working on prison reform has been a humbling experience that has opened her eyes.
“The journey just really opened up my eyes so much. It gets overwhelming because there’s so much to be done…I brought my sister Khloé [Kardashian] to a prison for the first time last week, and that was really eye-opening for her. And I would totally spend more time doing that, cameras, no cameras.”
Back in 2020, the SKIMS owner shared that she started studying for the California bar exam with the hopes of opening her own law firm. Previously, Kim opened up about her passion for prison reform and being inspired by her late father Robert Kardashian to pursue law. Robert was famously on the defense team for O.J. Simpson in the 1995 murder trial of O.J.‘s late wife.

After almost two years and three prior failed attempts, Kim shared the big news of her passing the baby bar exam via her Instagram in December of 2021. In part, she wrote,
“I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years, but I got back up each time and studied harder and tried again until I did it!!!”
Kim Kardashian’s reform work reportedly began in 2017 when she helped Alice Johnson get released from prison. Johnson had been in prison since October 1996 after being convicted for helping facilitate communications in a drug trafficking case.
After learning about the case through a video report, Kardashian retweeted the clip and began fighting for her clemency. With the help of former President Donald Trump, Alice was released from prison in August 2020.

Since then, Kim Kardashian has continued to advocate for other wrongfully convicted inmates and fight for prison reform.
