DAVIDSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities are investigating fatal overnight crashes, one on I-24 and one on a residential road in Bellevue.
The first occurred just before midnight in Joelton.
Around 11:46 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a vehicle crash involving a trailer along Interstate 24 near Whites Creek Pike.

Officers at the scene told News 2 that a large vehicle towing a trailer began to sway. The driver then lost control and drove off the roadway, causing the vehicle to flip upside down.
The male driver is reported to have died, and a female passenger was taken to a hospital for her injuries. The eastbound lanes of I-24 remained closed overnight during the investigation.
Just after 1 a.m., MNPD responded to a crash on Hicks Road in Bellevue, where a single vehicle reportedly ran off the road. One person was confirmed to have been killed in the crash.
Investigations into the crashes remain underway Wednesday morning.
