LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nearly 13 months after an overdose led to a death in Lebanon, authorities announced they took a man into custody for murder.

The Lebanon Police Department said it responded to a report of a “possible deceased female” on March 19, 2023. The preliminary investigation led law enforcement to believe it was the result of an overdose.

Through an autopsy and lab testing, officials said they determined the victim overdosed on a mixture of methamphetamine and fentanyl.

According to the department, investigators with the Criminal Investigation Division identified Caster I. Williams as the source of the drugs. Evidence was presented to the Wilson County Grand Jury, which returned two indictments for second-degree murder.
