Homicide investigation after man shot in North Nashville apartment

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man was shot and killed at an apartment in the MetroCenter neighborhood of Nashville early Friday morning.

The shooting happened just after 2 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 400 block of Ponder Place.

According to Metro police, the man was shot inside an apartment unit and dies from his injuries.

A woman inside the apartment called 911 to report the shooting but investigators said she is not involved.

No suspect description or additional information was immediately released.
