Florida Rapper Ralan Styles, Known For Viral ‘Baby Shark’ Remix, Fatally Shot In Attempted Robbery

22-year-old rapper Ralan Styles — known for his viral “Baby Shark” remix — was killed over the weekend in an attempted robbery. The tragic incident occurred at a home in Columbus, Ohio, in the early hours of Saturday morning (Oct. 19). Witnesses said the alleged killer tried to steal Styles’ neck chain, and shot him multiple times in a scuffle that followed, before fleeing.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers reportedly found Styles bleeding from gunshot wounds. They attempted to revive him until paramedics arrived. Sadly, their CPR attempts were unsuccessful and the rapper was pronounced dead.

Those who saw the shooting were able to give authorities a detailed description of the gunman, which led police to find 24-year-old Mahamood Hassan.

Hassan was arrested, and charged with murder. He’s currently behind bars in the Franklin County Jail and is scheduled to appear before a judge sometime today (Oct. 21).
