Driver wanted months after I-24 crash that killed passenger in South Nashville, police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities are looking for a driver who was reportedly involved in a single-vehicle crash on I-24 that resulted in the death of his passenger.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), the crash happened shortly before midnight on Sunday, April 28 in the eastbound lanes of I-24 near Harding Place.

Investigators said a preliminary investigation indicates that 25-year-old Daniel Lorenzo Tyler, of Murfreesboro, was driving his Dodge Charger, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour, when he lost control and struck a rock wall.

After the crash, Tyler was reportedly taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be treated for his injuries. However, police said 22-year-old Keijhan Roby, who was sitting in the backseat, was killed in the crash. According to MNPD, a passenger in the front seat was not injured.

Tyler is now wanted on vehicular homicide and reckless endangerment warrants, authorities announced Monday.
