Buc-ee’s convenience store coming to Oak Grove

OAK GROVE, Ky. (WKRN) — A Buc-ee’s travel center is set to be built off a busy interstate in Christian County.

Tuesday evening, Oak Grove City Council member Janet Edwards confirmed the mega convenience store was approved by the council.

Buc-ee’s representative Angela Janik said in the meeting the company expects the closing on the property to be finalized by the end of September. Buc-ee’s plans to be able to begin construction by the end of the year.

The store will reportedly be located near Interstate 24 just off Highway 115 at Exit 89.

The location in Christian County will be the third Buc-ee’s location in Kentucky. The company also has two Tennessee locations in Crossville and Sevierville. There are currently only 15 stores in the country located outside of Buc-ee’s home state of Texas.

The company does not currently have an estimated date for the store to be finished with construction.
