At least 1 dead after crash on I-40 in Putnam County

PUTNAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 in Putnam County Friday morning.

The crash happened in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 286 around 6:45 a.m.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation reported one lane is closed while investigators process the scene.
