Wayne Brady opens up about the positive response he has received since he came out as pansexual over the summer. Brady reveals that, since his coming out over the summer, fans have told him how much he inspired them to live in their truth. He adds that his decision to speak out and be transparent about his sexuality gave others the courage to follow suit. But more importantly, it’s made a lot of people realize that time waits for nobody. He first revealed his sexuality in a PEOPLE interview in August, saying, “I am pansexual” and also explaining it as “Bisexual with an open mind!” Brady, who grew up in Georgia, candidly recalled his noticeable attraction to men from an early age. However, his upbringing made him consistently push his feelings aside. The TV personality emphasized that his coming out interview was only the first step in his journey to self-acceptance and ownership and that he hoped to put his advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community to good use. On Wednesday (December 13), the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles announced the return of its annual holiday concert, Hooray for Holidays, for two nights on December 16 and 17. This year, per Beverly Press, Brady joins them at the Saban Theatre. He signed up with the organization to promote civil rights and acceptance through music.
