NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Titans have agreed to terms with Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams.

“Man, I feel great, man,” Adams said in a video that the Titans posted to social media. “I’m excited to have an opportunity. I’m excited to be with the Titans. I just want to thank Ran [Carthon] and I want to take Dennard [Wilson]. I’m excited to be here, man.”

The Titans are scheduled to start training camp on July 23. There, Adams will compete with Amani Hooker and Elijah Molden for a starting spot.

Adams was the sixth overall draft for the Jets, where new Titans defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson was his defensive back’s coach. Adams played his best ball in those three seasons, named to the Pro Bowl twice in 2018 and 2019.

The seven-year veteran spent the past four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks before he was released in March. He saw action in just 10 games over the last two seasons and he put up 37 solo tackles.

In 2021, Adams became the league’s highest-paid safety after being traded to Seattle for two first round draft picks the season before.
