Kimora Lee Simmons & Daughter Aoki Blasts Russell Simmons, Claims He’s Verbally Abusive & Possibly ‘Experiencing Something Like Dementia’

It looks like things are pretty chaotic in the Simmons family.

It appears that Father’s Day triggered some unpleasant emotions. It all began when Ming Lee –Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons’ 23-year-old daughter – took to her Instagram story yesterday (Jun. 18) to wish her mother a “Happy Father’s Day,” seemingly throwing shade at her own father.

It didn’t take long before Russell Simmons caught wind of his daughter’s post. He then shared a cryptic message about mothers who keep their children away from their fathers, seemingly directing it to his ex-wife.

On Monday (June 19), Kimora Lee Simmons took to Instagram Live to blast her ex. She explained that the issues with Russell Simmons run deep and that he and the kids have had a rocky relationship in recent years, which includes him verbally attacking them. Kimora said he sends flowers to himself but lies online that they’re from her. She also alleged that he’s “at rock bottom.”

Soon after, their youngest daughter Aoki Lee Simmons tearfully took to Instagram Live to share her side of the story and detail her father’s behavior and verbal abuse. Aoki said that her father has been “awful” towards her and even financially cut her off because she asked him to stop speaking ill about her mom. According to the Harvard graduate, when Russell Simmons gets mad, he’ll call her and her sister “b*tches like their mother.”

Aoki also shared a string of alleged text messages between her and Russell detailing their estranged relationship and his erratic behavior. In one of the text messages, Aoki stated that she had to stop speaking with her father because it would give her panic attacks and she could no longer handle the constant yelling and cursing.

She also posted a muted video of her dad screaming at her while on a video call, further proving her point.

Aoki and the family seem to think something is “severely wrong” with Russell Simmons and that he may be “experiencing something like dementia.”

Russell Simmons has yet to respond to his ex-wife and daughter’s comments and accusations.
