EXCLUSIVE: DJ R-Tistic Calls Out Alicia Keys After She Questions What DJs ‘Actually Do’, Says Her Team Offered Him Money To Pay Her Song During Pandemic, Then Ghosted Him After He Played It
Alicia Keys‘ team is getting called out by DJ R-Tistic.
It began after the “No One” singer, questioned what DJs “actually do” in a social media video. DJ R-Tistic responded,
“All I know is her label offered me a few hundred to play her song, and then never paid me after I played it……”
He shared a few more details in the comment section of theJasmineBRAND’s post about the matter and wrote,
“It was her label at the time, RCA. Via professional e-mail, someone from their team offered to pay me to play a remix of one of her songs while I live streamed on IG, second week of the pandemic, when we were locked inside. I played it, and the label rep went ghost on the follow up.”
DJ Quicksilva also weighed in and commented,
“Is this a click bait question she’s asking for attention ???? I need to invite her out to @spinconference so she can see what DJs really do #InRealLife“
DJ R-Tistic later hopped on X to respond to critics who said he should have gotten “paid upfront.”
